It Isn't That Scary To Quit Your Job!

I have posted on this topic before, but I found a great article/blog in INC magazine that dives into this topic. Also, this topic has been swirling around my head since I started writing my own business plan.

I guess you can say I do not have a "solid" back up plan for leaving my work in the next few weeks. However, I do not need to panic. One of the things that this article talks about is that there are many people out there that do not feel fulfilled. The author focuses on people who do not feel like they are meeting their potential (wow that is me right now), and the next thing for these individuals.

I see myself as more than just a pencil pusher. The current job that I am in right now does not allow me to think for myself, work specifically for the customer, and advance/grow. The author talks about how its not as scary as people think when they leave their jobs, and new opportunities can pop up from nowhere.

Some people will focus on the negatives of leaving a job. The author here focuses on what her experiences were, and experiences from people she engaged with through her own blog. New opportunities will pop up from nowhere, and life without a job is not as scary as you think are two examples of topics that she covers in the article.

I find it very relaxing that I am not the only one with doubts or fears. She states that one of the worst things in life is the feeling of not being fulfilled or challenged at your place of employment. In the year 2016, employees should not have to worry about this issues. She makes a great point about living on less money as well.

All these points hit me like a ton of bricks. I am working on leaving my current job to start my own grocery delivery service. These doubts and fears are very prevalent to the way I have been feeling in recent weeks/months. It is very scary to think about going out on your own (especially in business), but fear cannot hold me back from taking that leap. A great topic the author may have also wanted to use in this article I have talked about before. Becoming self-aware is very important for individuals to be comfortable with.

A great article with an awesome message! Don't be scared of leaving that job that has gotten you nowhere. Focus on the future, and execute on the endeavors that have a return on investment.
