Medicine is Getting Even Faster!

It is all about delivery. How quick can you be getting that product or that service into the hands of your consumers? Does it have value for your customers?

Well, an awesome company called Everbliss is launching a new app that connects you with a coach or therapist. If you cannot find that given therapist or coach, you can choose from a different list of these proessionals to talk to within a given time period via the app. The article I found on Entrepreneur Magazine talks about how there are a bunch of different apps/organizations available to connect you with a physician.

However, there is a large cost associated with this service. Think about how much it costs for a doctor's visit, or even an emergency room visit?? The company will take about 20% of the costs that you will be charge for this service.

The author talks about how similar the idea is to an Uber business model. Great work and good read as at the end of the article, the author goes into how some things may not work so well if you are not face-to-face.

Very valid point to make as health care should be all about the patient, and many parts of the health care industry never focus on the patient enough. Many times a great service has a mix of technology and human interaction. With Uber, you still get a ride from a human being after you request a driver. A grocery delivery service still has to physically get the groceries to your front door. Everbliss may have an issue with individuals who have difficult medical issues. They may need to physically be in front of the physician.

Keeping it specific to coaches or to therapists is a good way to keep this service filled with great quality and great efficiency. I do find it amazing still that I continue to find these articles about services being offered  through the internet/a mobile device. They continue to reverse engineer all parts of every day life to try and save people time.

I keep coming back to it even now! These organizations are trying to save people time, and this is no different!

Thoughts and/or comments?!?!?
